At Play2Learn we place huge importance on coach education. This is not just with our employed coaches through CPD, it is also an important part of our involvement with football clubs, through parent coach mentoring programmes.
Planning, delivering, observing and reflecting with parent volunteer coaches has proved beneficial for individual coach development. It has equally been beneficial for the development of group parent coaching, in a wide range of age groups, for many clubs, through all formats of the game from 4 aside through to 11 aside.
Play2Learn promote coach development at the higher end of the coaching spectrum, where coaches are encouraged to offer variable and random style sessions, as opposed to constant / statice sessions. We believe this provides an enjoyable, realistic environment for both players and coaches. This style of coaching separates us from most of the other sport coaching providers.
We have a history of mentoring coaches in the USA, England and Scotland. Dave Upton ,co – owner was one of the first coach mentors in Scotland with SFA in the West Lothian area.
At Play2Learn, we are as passionate at developing coaches as players. If your club, or team would like any form of coach mentoring individual or group, then Play2Learn will tailor make a suitable mentor programme for you.
